Re: [zipitwireless] Wireless reception with the zipit
- if you look at the quick datasheet at maxim it ( http://www.maxim-ic.com/quick_view2.cfm/qv_pk/1798 ), you will see the only difference between the 233 and 233A is the max data rate. since the debug port is operating at 57.6k , this is not an issue. so you could substitute the max233cpe ( http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&productId=119873 ) . in addition the 233 series has internal capacitors, you could use the 232 series which requires the use of external caps. the 232 series ( http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&productId=116433 ) is less expensive, but requires more time to assemble for a project like the zipit.
Still waiting to order the 233A... Jameco doesn't carry it and Maxim-IC
says about 4 weeks to fill the order... Where are people buying theirs?
