Q : "One who greatly helps another despite being greatly harmed is a great fool
or a great Bodhisattva." What does this means?

A : If one helps another while being harmed continually,
one might be helping that person to harm oneself and that person indirectly -
as that person creates negative karma for oneself by harming another,
while we create negative karma by allowing ourselves to be harmed again and again.
Such a person would be a great fool.

But on the other hand, if one knows what one is doing as a skilful means,
one is a great Bodhisattva, or at least, emulating great Bodhisattvas' practice.
