...Was tying with a small rubber band, the rubber band snaps, hurting the finger. Decided to find something larger. A collegue came, stretch the band several times & used it. Just as in many other things in life, forcing something over its limit, will hurt others & oneself, when it snaps. Learn to stretch & let go, let go to stretch, progressively. The more you stretch, the more you can stretch, just as in using & training the mind & body.
Never give up trying too, thinking it can't or it is not possible. Of course, not stubbornly trying things that leads to uselessness or causing others harm or unhappiness. As in the Shurangama Sutra ... No matter how long you cook the sand, you will never get rice. Wisdom to my little understanding is exercising knowledge with right understanding.
Just as in flying a kite, pull too hard or let go too much & the kite will not be able to fly. Not knowing when to pull & let go, the kite will go out of control too. Pull & let go right & the kite of happiness fly high.
