      Hi, Just some comments to share here.  In general, I'd encountered 2 types of people who apologise quite frequently:-
      - out of habit and therefore quite indifferent to the word 'sorry', such that care is not exercised to ensure that no hurt is done to others.

      - little confidence in themselves and afraid of offending others, hoping that the word 'sorry' would somehow help in their relationships with others.
      Therefore, to bring out the essence of saying 'sorry', it seems to hinge on the realistion of mistake, extent of remorse and also the intention of the communication.
