  • Yes, I know you read the list. and now you have an unofficial unhappy non-customer (with a 100% flea bay rating as well ;). As you can tell I have moved on and spent my money elsewhere, and consider the issue closed. Happy railroading. leigh

  • yeah, I don't have any specific era I model, and I simply like the open auto racks.. : ) its a bit late now, I have snipped off all the bumpers, the microtrains couplers are med shank (all I have left) so they are a wee bit short, snipping was necessary.... my bad. Oh the chap with the caboose, its back up on flea bay.. for a lot more. Had a housemate move out, and we have been...

  • So couldn't resist this telling this story, I had been watching a Marklin Z "starlight" caboose on U.K Flea-bay that had been posted for 99p.. only 2 of us bid on it at the last moment and I won it (does the victory cheer!) and feel asleep. woke up later on to find a nasty little message and a cancel purchase stating the seller doesn't post out of the UK (I am in Australia). guy...

Good to see another company jumping in... been years since Marklin has done a run on their turntable, last time I saw one on auction it went for about about 300 pound, very overpriced. Leigh

  • Hey Jim, just 2 quick questions, I was messing around with the old RS1 shell the other day, and now have it running nice now. I was wondering if you ever came up with side rails for them? The other question was, I know you did have some "Shark" A and B unit shells as well.. Do you still have any left ? I didn't see them anymore on your website (also, were they designed to run on...

  • I got to be honest, the Rokuhan switches really do look toylike. The other thing that bothers me is that Japanese Z makers pretty much went to 12 volt.. instead of staying the standard 8-10volt. yes, peco is slightly larger in rail size than the Mircotrains, and definately noticable in spacing (though if you have time on your side and a razor saw, you can easily modify tie spacing...

  • Not sure if anyone mentioned anything, but i did pick up the March issue of Continental Modeller (www.pecopublications.co.uk) Has a decent sized article on Kevin Smith's "Shasta" layout (8 pages). Good to see U.S style Z getting a mention. For those of you Unfamilar with the magazine, its published by Peco (who make track, including Z flex track, I find its good for tunnels, and...
