  • Hi, quite no Z scale SNCF rolling stock nor motive power at Marklin's nor any other manufacturer or crafstman. But you could check Shapeways, there are available 3D prints of BB7200, BB67000 and even 141R 2-8-2 Mikado steamer, all of these matching Marklin chassis. http://le-z-forum.forumactif.com/t1105-141r-sncf-3d http://le-z-forum.forumactif.com/t559-bb-7200 Sorry, the links are...

  • Hi Gang. When I purchased a bunch of 1st generation AZL SD70M a little bit more than 10 years ago, I found it very easy to swap AZL coupler with a MTL sample as these were simply screwed on the snowplow / pilot assembly. I guess that's still the case with current generation SD70M. However SDACe's snowplow / pilot assembly is rather different. I'm currently working on my sample in...

  • >I think you will find many locomotives with >default CV settings cannot make even 80 scale miles per >hour. As most 1:1 scale freight units in North America are set to 75 mph, 80 scale mph is a good match, isn't it ? Dom, who considers DCC for his future works

  • Rather disappointed with MTL turnouts as well. Put a lot of hope with these when announced, but performance just was not here. Many stalls and/or derailments as well. Finally I ended building 20 or so Fast-Tracks turnouts #6 for my future layout (current one is equipped with Wrights), and finally I'm waiting those Atlas plans to introduce in the future.
