But when I was editing the post, I saw the picture ... it went away when posted...

I'll get there.... I had to have an alternate login, because the only way to edit a post is on a moderated user, and there is an option to edit a pending message.

I'll figure this out, it must be possible.

                            - On the dialogue box where you can enter the text there is a tool
bar. There is a paper clip on the far left side. On the far right side
is a double left arrow which is where you can swap between Plain Text
                            and RTF.

The requirement was to use the rich text editor, which would also accept html tags.

But now apparently you cannot. There apparently also was a "view source" capability when creating the post... now that's gone, although you can view source of an existing post.

The closest I got was the "create link" button and then trying to stuff the html "img" tag...

The next thing I will try is to embed a picture in an HTML email and email it to the group and see if it get's in... the goal is an embedded picture viewable in the web interface... as you can see, my original post does not show with the picture, but Jeff's reply to my post does...

You cannot embed an executable anyway, but you can embed a link to a dangerous site, although seeing the delay between posting and it showing up, Yahoo must be scanning posts.
