- There are other heavy alloys. AZL's brass releases use a Copper allow that is both *heavy* but also hard to machine down for DCC mods.

Regarding chassis material. Lead has a lot of environmental regulations
attached because it is poisonous if ingested, inhaled, or absorbed
through the skin. The weight in the Tenshodo mike is heavier than the
usual pot metal. I suspect it has tungsten in it. While it is pricey and
hard to machine, tungsten is denser and therefore heavier than lead. Any
increase in weight on the drivers will improve tracking, pick-up, and
pulling power, and I am surprised small scale and esp. Z scale
manufacturers have not maximized chassis weight.
Z-scale: minimum siZe, MAXIMUM enjoyment!
