A SD40-2 with stuck truck is usually caused by a jammed wiper pickup arm and it is very easy to fix. Tip the engine on its side with the trucks towards you.

A SD40-2 with stuck truck is usually caused by a jammed wiper pickup arm and it is very easy to fix. Tip the engine on its side with the trucks towards you. See if there is a brass piece sticking up from the truck with a horizontal brass strip trapped inside the frame by the brass piece sticking up if so use a straight pin or small screw driver and gently lift the horizontal brass strip up to sit on top of the brass piece coming up from the truck. Check all four and once they are correct you should have no trouble with the truck not turning.
