      On my layout made with MTL flex (minimum radius 14"/35 cm) and Wright turnouts I only run AZL, FR and Micro-Trains stuff (20-car trains), on 3% grades. I never experienced any derailment until now.

      The microtrains stuff derails a lot more easily than the old Märklin
      stuff if you've got twists in the trackwork or bad drops at joins simply
      because the flanges are finer. Doesn't need to be racing badly laid track
      is enough especially into curves and switches.

      On properly laid track neither should suffer and the Z stuff is very
      chunky anyway so its less sensitive to bad track laying than finer scale
      N track.
