Re: [Z_Scale] Cascade Z Modelers
I plan on being at the meeting. I really like shelf layouts but am not sure how to build one in a room that has too many closets and doors to deal with.

JOIN US FOR ANOTHER MEETING
The Cascade Z Modelers will meet on Sunday, May 15 at 10:00 in the morning. I would
expect our gathering to last about 2 hours. But Steve will be there to open the doors a bit
earlier and will stay on if some want to run trains or keep talking.
At our last meeting, we left open the question of making modules and showing them
together. I suspect that is the main question that we'd like to talk about. And if we do
want to work on modules, then we'll need to discuss a "standard" by which they can
interconnect. So think on that and bring your ideas - even if you aren't sure you are
interested in modules.
I am interested in creating a home layout that runs from one corner along one wall on two
levels with a "rise through a mountain bowl" in the corner. But I am not sure about some
of the practical aspects of that project. If there's time, I'd be happy to have others
brainstorm with me; maybe someone has just the solution I need.
If you plan to come, please let me know, so we can have an approximate head count, and
Steve can prepare the space appropriately. And, if everyone would be willing to chip in $2
when they arrive, I will be happy to bring some cold drinks and pastries to nourish our
thought processes. (Another reason to let me know ahead of time, so I can bring an
appropriate amount of food!)
Thanks again to the generosity of the Columbia Gorge Model Railroad Club and Steve
Eichman (a joint member of that club and our group), we have again been graciously
offered a space to meet.
See you on the 15th at 11 am.
