since I bought my first starter set in 1984. I currently have a
layout that is 6' x 8' with two mountains. I have been thinking about
adding a sky tram and saw a picture of one in the photos in the
folder Washington-DC Zbend Track. Was this scratch built or is there
a kit for sale somewhere. Does anyone know of one for sale or what
would be needed to build one from scratch.
I just recently joined this group and have found some very useful
information within this group and will continue to look through all
the information and links.

The "sky tram" you saw is on Rob Allbritton's Swiss Gotthard Line modules. He used an N scale Brawa "Seilschwebebahn" Cableway set. It should be listed in the "structures section" of the Walthers catalog. They look right for large capacity cable cars in Z scale. I saw a more modern prototype in HO scale at the NTS last year, but I don't know if that will come out in N scale or not.
