      Hello!

First, sorry for the cross post. Just wanted to get my message out....

Due to various moves and time of my train stuff in storage, etc. etc., I am
currently looking for empty plastic cases, with the liners, which would fit
the following Marklin Z items. Note that the cases do not have to be in mint
condition, nor do the numbers need to match exactly. I just want the cases to
replace my battered ones to protect their precious cargo.

These items and pictures are at: http://harrison.neonexus.com/Trains.htm

      (1) Item # ??? Red Swiss Electric SBB-FFS 6-axle Lok (what is the model # for
      this piece?)

      (2) Item # 8640??? Brown Southern Pacific 4 axle (2 pairs) Caboose (Is this
      the correct model #?)

      (3) Item # 8606 Yellow 2 axle Banana freight car

      (4) Item # 8610 Brown 2 axle low-side gondola car

      (5) Item # 8625, 8626, 8627, 8628 Tank Cars

      (6) Item # 8637 Brown Milwaukee Road Box Car, 4 axle (2 pairs)

      (7) Item # 8705 Green 3-axle DB 2nd Class passenger car

      (8) Item # 8720, 8721, 8722 Passenger cars

      (9) Item # 8800 Black Class 89 0-6-0 Tank Locomotive

Lastly, my 8874 Lok needs work to get it running again. Is there somewhere in
the Rochester-Buffalo-Syracuse New York (upstate New York) area which does
      repairs of Z-scale?

      Thanks for your time!

Hi Mark, Know what you mean about missing boxes. I have made some small boxes that hold 3 long passenger cars or 6 short freight cars. They have plastic tops

        Hi Mark,
Know what you mean about missing boxes. I have made some small boxes
that hold 3 long passenger cars or 6 short freight cars. They have
plastic tops so you can see what's in them. If you can't find the
regular plastic boxes and want to know what I did, give me a buzz. I
have also done "extensive" repairs on steam loks, so if you can't find
anyone up there, give me a buzz.

          Mark,

If you'd like, I have about 14 or so Marklin cases that you can have.
They're in the garage at the moment so I don't have the box numbers
handy, but it sounds like you would make better use of them that I
          currently do.

As far as your #8874 in need of some work to get it running, I'd suggest
you contact Glenn and Sandy Stiska:

          stiska@...

I've trusted Glenn and Sandy with some of my pieces and they've always
come back running great. You can contact me off line, or through my
website if you'd like those Marklin cases.

BTW, I have gotten a LOT of email regarding Glenn and Sandy Stiska, and have
been on contact with them. Ince I gather some $$$ together, my loco will be
            heading their way for repair!

            Thanks to all who replied!

            :-)
