69557Re: Dead RDC-2
- Feb 7, 2012Rob and Mark,
I have two RDCs so I took a truck off of the one that was still operating to see if there's something different with the drive shaft. I put it back together and it still ran!
I still couldn't figure out why the other one's truck wouldn't turn with the drive shaft installed. I decided to swap out the trucks between the dead one and the live one, and now both are running again. Go figure, since I don't know why this solved the problem, but I'm not going to take them apart again as long as they are running.
I couldn't get the truck installed into the frame unless the drive shaft was seated on both ends. Also the wheels on the truck will not turn with the gears in the truck, so removing the drive shaft on one end is not a solution.
Thanks for the help.
