I would recommend using a free host (weebly, googlepages, etc.). It doesn't matter if you run the api from that provided endpoint - just do it to get that appid ;)

      Hope this helps.

      Subject: [ysearchboss] Getting an ID

I am a bit confused with how to get a BOSS ID.

It seems that in the registration page
      http://developer.yahoo.com/wsregapp/ <http://developer.yahoo.com/wsregapp/>
the BOSS ID option is only available if I choose
      Browser Based Authentication

But in order to do so, I have to give a
      BBAuth Success URL

Then, at the site suggested by the BBAuth Success URL, I have to put
the little piece of code that will allow Yahoo to make sure that I
      have control of that site.

      Here is the problem:
I do not really have a public site. I have a private site (password
protected) and at this point I want to experiment with the APIs.

Any suggestions on what I need to do?

      Thank you
