      in order to call the web services in your app you need to be online
      anyway, during development too. there is nothing preventing you from
      getting an app id just for the development, and set the end-point url
      in the request form to a page on your development machine. if you
      don't have a permanent IP (as is usually the case) you can use a
      domain with a dynamic IP, such as no-ip.com or dyndns.com.

      when you are done developing, you can get a new app id for the
      permanent domain that will host the application, and use it instead of
      the id you used during development.
