      Hi,
      I am using the utilities.js and container-min.js library files. I am
      currently trying to reduce all external references to js files on our
      site, so to reduce the number of downloads that a user has to make.

      I've tried simply merging these two YUI files and including them in our
      project, but I get a YAHOO undefined error.

      Is there any reason why I shouldn't be able to just merge these two
      files?

      Thanks!

      Pete, Are you sure you put the contents of utilities.js before the contents of container-min.js? Regards, Eric ______________________________________________

          You have to merge them in order because there are dependencies.

          If you use Ant, try

          <!-- Create Aspicio.js from YUI files -->
          <concat destfile="${basedir}/WebRoot/js/Aspicio.js"
          fixlastline="yes" append="no">
          <filelist
          dir="${basedir}/WebRoot/js"

          files="yahoo.js,event.js,dom.js,logger.js,connection.js,animation.js,

          dragdrop.js,treeview.js,container.js,calendar.js,menu.js"/>
          </concat>
          <concat destfile="${basedir}/WebRoot/js/Aspicio.js"
          fixlastline="yes" append="yes">
          <fileset dir="${basedir}/WebRoot/js"
          includes="*.js"
          excludes="Aspicio.js,

          yahoo.js,event.js,dom.js,logger.js,connection.js,animation.js,

          dragdrop.js,treeview.js,container.js,calendar.js,menu.js"/>
          </concat>

          That adds base files in a specified order, and then adds all others not
          previously added in directory order.

                contents of the utilities.js file first and then the contents of the

                files I was using.

                If I use the yahoo-merge.js file I get that 'YAHOO undefined' error.
                If I take that out and then use the 2 seperate files in the same
                order it works fine.

                I thought perhaps there was something about having the files included
                seperately that causes the js code to behave differently than if
                these 2 files were combined together?

                Thanks for the help....!
