      this might seem like an unusual question, but i'm wondering
      if there is a simple way to trigger the animation of an element
      without being bound to a specific event. i'd like to be able to
      use an arbitrary peice of javascript to kick off the animation
      instead. is this possible?

      Hi keohools, Although most use cases for animation are event driven, you can call animate() on an Anim instance at any point in your code. Matt
