      Hi All -

Welcome to my inaugeral post to the group!

Does YUI do anything to help normalize the CSS box model across browsers? Or is that the purpose of the Reset CSS? In particular, I'm having some trouble styling the automatically generated layout of the YUI Grids Builder [general advice on this topic would be a good start I suppose]. Obviously, the output of the tool already applies the reset-fonts-grids.css. Now lets say I want to add a "thin black border" around my content divs. It pretty much trashes the column layout as my right-most column spills over. So I guess what I'm really asking is:

      (1) Are there any rules of thumb / guidelines for styling the grids layout so as not to compromise its basic structure?

      (2) Does YUI do anything to help me with cross-browser css independence?

      (3) Am I behind the curve in some more fundamental way with regard to CSS? [educational resources welcome]

      Kind Regards,

      Vic
