For proxies, I prefer leveraging mod_rewrite + mod_proxy in Apache (http://bit.ly/10s3I0
But, the current side project I'm working on does not provide
mod_proxy on the host. As I'm not a PHP user (though respect its use
architecturally), I'm looking at other methods and have been looking
at the cURL proxies provided in the YUI examples.
They look good, but I'm skeptical because there are very bad things
that can be done with PHP if the installation is misconfigured, or the
code makes some poor assumption.
Can a master of PHP-fu comment on the cURL proxies in the YUI
examples? Are they production quality, i.e., don't make code
assumptions (use globals, &tc) that can lead to the "owning/pwning/
0wning" of my webservers?
(If you need to look at one... try /path/to/yui/examples/autocomplete/
