      was reported nearly a year ago ( 2008-01-10 ).

      I stumbled over this issue today, it would be nice if it was fixed.

      Hi Edward, This will be fixed in the 2.7.0 release. As a workaround, you can add it per Element instance: var el = new YAHOO.util.Element( foo );

        Hi Edward,

        This will be fixed in the 2.7.0 release.

        As a workaround, you can add it per Element instance:

        var el = new YAHOO.util.Element("foo");
        el.DOM_EVENTS.change = true; // enables change event for elements that
        support it
        el.on("change", handleChange);

        or alternatively via the Event Utility:

        YAHOO.util.Event.on("foo", "change", handleChange);

        - Matt
