        ... This patch also fixed this error for me. There may be a small mistake in the example code as well, when I try using the following html, as specified here:

          This patch also fixed this error for me. There may be a small mistake
          in the example code as well, when I try using the following html, as
          specified here:

          http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/examples/carousel/csl_dynload2.html

          <div id="container">
          <ol id="carousel"></ol>
          </div>

          And then create a carousel:
          var carousel = new YAHOO.widget.Carousel("container");
          var imgitem = "<img
          src=\"http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1132/1320863204_4c1ee91d46_m.jpg\">";
          carousel.addItem(imgitem);
          var imgitem = "<img
          src=\"http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2331/2067957290_24283a46ea_m.jpg\">";
          carousel.addItem(imgitem);
          carousel.render("carousel");
          carousel.show();

          I get the following error: uncaught exception: Node cannot be
          inserted at the specified point in the hierarchy
          (NS_ERROR_DOM_HIERARCHY_REQUEST_ERR)
          http://u-market-trunk/yui/build/element/element-beta.js
          Line 761

          (this is w/the patch applied)

          The fix, for me was to remove the id="carousel" from the <ol></ol> and
          just leave it w/no id.

          Just an FYI... maybe I'm doing something wrong when following the
          example.

          I can supply a diff to fix the docs, if you think it's needed,
          gabe.
