      But when I'm clicking the hyperlink, the popup is displaying link. The
      page is not opening up. Suppose if I give a link `www.google.com' on
      clicking of the text it should show the new page right.
      Is there any special setting for that?

        You are clicking the link "inside" the Editor?

        If so, then no it should not open the page. All links are disabled when you are editing them.

        You can doubleclick on the link to open the Link Editor window.

        To follow the link, you have to save the HTML in the Editor out to a different element..

        Make sense?

              Following is the code to load the editor. The editor will be disabled on the value of a hidden variable that comes from the server side.

              If the access is read only I will disable the editor so tat user cannot edit anything.

              But in the editor if it's not disabled, then on double-clicking the link popup will come. when in the disabled state the new page is opening in the editor itself with the message 'page cannot be displayed'.

                function fnLoadEditor() {

                  var Dom = YAHOO.util.Dom;

                  //   var  Event = YAHOO.util.Event;

                  var myConfig;

                  if(document.forms[0].struserAccess.value != "EDIT" ){

                           myConfig = {

                      height: '590px',

                      width: '1163px',

                      dompath: true,

                      disabled : true,

                     html : document.forms[0].strTextArea.value

                    };

                  }else{

                   myConfig = {

                      height: '590px',

                      width: '1163px',

                      dompath: true,

                      html : document.forms[0].strTextArea.value

                    };

                  }

                   myEditor = new YAHOO.widget.SimpleEditor('editor', myConfig);

                  myEditor._defaultToolbar.buttonType = 'advanced';

                  myEditor._defaultToolbar.titlebar = "Scorecard"//document.forms[0].strNodeSelectedlabel.value;

                  if(document.forms[0].struserAccess.value != "EDIT" ){

                          myEditor._defaultToolbar.collapse =false ;

                  }

                  myEditor.on('toolbarLoaded', function() {

                  myEditor.toolbar.collapse(true);

                          });

                 myEditor.render();

                Are you dynamically changing the Editor from disabled to enabled?
                If not, then there is no reason to do what you are doing.
                You should display the content in something else besides the Editor.
                It will be much less of a hassle.

                Second, on a security note. You should not rely on a form field for authentication.
                This is "very" easy to get around:
                document.forms[0].struserAccess.value != "EDIT"

                All I have to do is open Firebug and access the field "struserAccess" and manually change it to EDIT and I have edit access on your page..

                You should be checking access on the server side and render the page differently depending on the access granted.
                If they have edit privileges, show the Editor code. If they don't show a div with the content in it.

                Make sense?

                Following is the code to load the editor. The editor will be disabled on the value of a hidden variable that comes from the server side.

                If the access is read only I will disable the editor so tat user cannot edit anything.

                But in the editor if it's not disabled, then on double-clicking the link popup will come. when in the disabled state the new page is opening in the editor itself with the message 'page cannot be displayed'.

                  function fnLoadEditor() {

                    var Dom = YAHOO.util.Dom;

                    //   var  Event = YAHOO.util.Event;

                    if(document.forms[0].struserAccess.value != "EDIT" ){

                      };

                  i tried putting the read only text in a div tag using
                  document.getElementById("tab1").innerHTML =
                  document.forms[0].strTextArea.value;

                  But in the div tag the format is not retaining. Format is only
                  retaining only if using the editor and making it disabled.
                  Is there any other way to put the HTML text?
