This example shows how to copy an element when it's dropped on a target:
      http://blog.davglass.com/files/yui/dd29/

Look at lines 6-14, that is where it's creating the clone of the element and placing it inside the drop target..

You could change those lines to do a removeChild on the dragged element instead of the appendChild on the Target..

      Does that make sense?

I'm trying to figure out how to (and if it's even possible) to
implement the drag-and-drop example (seen at:
      http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/examples/dragdrop/dd-
      reorder_clean.html) but with the added
      functionality of deletion.

Either by adding a delete button to each row, or by dragging and
dropping it outside of a particular region?
