      I'm having a problem using cascading YUI menus in a Left box defined
      in the Layout Manager. You can't see the secondary menus if you
      don't set the scroll attribute on the "Left" box. Even then, you have
      to "jump through hoops" to make the menus show. See
      <http://www.nnjsda.org/test_layout.php>. The first menu item has
      secondary menus, the second toggles the "scroll" attribute on the box.

      Am I missing something with the configuration?

        Ken --

        By default, all LayoutUnit's have a overflow: hidden set to ensure that any unit's content doesn't spill over into another unit.
        You can override this with some CSS rules, try these:

        .yui-layout-unit-left {
        z-index: 1;
        overflow: visible;
        }
        .yui-layout-unit-left div.yui-layout-bd {
        overflow: visible;
        }

        Hope that helps :)

            I use a :

            center
            right

            and center is nested with:
            top
            center

            and top is nested with
            top
            center (here I have a menu)

            I use:

            .yui-layout-unit-top {
            z-index: 3;
            overflow: visible;
            }
            .yui-layout-unit-top div.yui-layout-bd {
            overflow: visible;
            }

            .yui-layout-unit-center {
            z-index: 2;
            overflow: visible;
            }
            .yui-layout-unit-center div.yui-layout-bd {
            overflow: visible;
            }

            .yui-layout-unit-right {
            z-index: 1;
            overflow: visible;
            }
            .yui-layout-unit-right div.yui-layout-bd {
            overflow: visible;
            }

            but the menu will not overflow over the right unit and that is bad for
            me ! Any ideea what to do ?
