      chaluwa --

      I think the issue you are having is that you are trying to set the img.src to the value of the input field..

      That value will be invalid since it is a path to the file on the end users machine, not on the web server..

      You will need to upload the image to the server, then get back a fully qualified url, then use that url as the src value for the image..

      Hope that info helps :)

      Dav, thanks again, here is it :
      http://www.petterso n-clor.com/ tests/console. html

      However I seem to be having "strange" issues with my "new" upload
      widget, click products and then add products from the menu, now try to
      click on either of the controls adjacent to the views label, I intend
      for it to be a replacement for the html file upload input in my apps
      such that a dialog lets you select the file to upload, a hidden
      field's value is set accordingly, and an image object (within the area
      you just clicked)src attribute is set also to the filed selected to
      allow a preview of the said file.

      Here's the problem, setting the image's src attribute in script
      doesn't seem to work with e.g :
      imgOBJ.src = "path"; nor imgOBJ.setAttribute ("src", "path");
      WHY ??????????, I really need help with this.
