      "_oSubmenu" IS a private member
      (http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/docs/YAHOO.widget.MenuItem.html#_oSubmenu).
      If you wish to access an item's submenu, you should do so via its
      "submenu" configuration property:

      menubar.getItem(0).cfg.getProperty("submenu").setItemGroupTitle("Links",0);
      menubar.getItem(0).cfg.getProperty("submenu").setItemGroupTitle("Reports",1);

      Documentation is here:
      http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/docs/YAHOO.widget.MenuItem.html#submenu
