Hey all, I have some more digging and I found the following using
firebug and it's css inspector, when I fade the element out and back
in and click on the menu, the following styles are dynamically created...

      <div id="FlagSelectorMenu" class="yui-module yui-overlay yuimenu"
      style="z-index: 1; position: absolute; visibility: hidden; width: 0px;
      left: 10px; top: 31px;">

Notice the width attribute is set to 0px (this div is dynamically
generated by the following javascript: "var mFlagSelector = new
      YAHOO.widget.Menu("FlagSelectorMenu", { itemdata: aFlagSelector,
lazyload: true, container: "bFlagSelector" });", and is the parent to
      "<div class="bd">").

Then when I fade it back out, the CSS is dynamicly changed to:

      <div id="FlagSelectorMenu" class="yui-module yui-overlay yuimenu"
style="z-index: 1; position: absolute; visibility: hidden; width:
      188px; left: 10px; top: 31px;">

Note the width is now "188px". When I refresh the page and click on
the menu without fading in and out the style is dynamically set
      straight to "width:188px".

      Hope that helps...

Also, when you fade out, fade in and click on the menu before it
completely fades back it throws an error, here is the full text of the
      error as firebug reports it...
