April 7 and 8, 2014
Deadline Extended to October 25, 2013 … and maybe a little longer!!
from David Hoffman
Conference organizers have been gathering speaking proposals for Computers in Libraries 2014 next spring for some weeks now, but we want to reach out specifically with this notice to the K-12 educator community for the Internet@Schools track at Computers in Libraries 2014. It is a 2-day track created especially for library media and technology specialists and other educators who are using the internet and technology in K–12 schools. Sponsored by Internet@Schools magazine, the track covers technology, tools, trends, and practical topics, and takes place during the first 2 days of Computers in Libraries, taking place at Hilton Washington, Washington, D.C. That’s April 7 and 8, 2014.
You Are Invited …
If you are running an innovative program through your school library or media/technology center that is helping your students learn or your colleagues teach, or if you are willing to share your practical tips, tools, or techniques about using technology and the internet in schools, we want you! Please volunteer to speak at the Internet@Schools track at Computers in Libraries.
Submit a proposal as soon as possible. Use the online form at https://secure.infotoday.com/forms/default.aspx?form=ise-speakers. Topics could include … but certainly aren't limited to … mobile learning, the flipped classroom, makerspaces in the library, implementing Common Core standards, social media in K-12, digital textbooks, virtual education, cloud computing and its impact on education, and more. Include the following brief details of your proposed presentation on the form: title, abstract, a few sentences of biographical information that relate you to the topic, and full contact information (title, address, email, phone, and fax). All proposals will be reviewed by the organizers, and notification regarding acceptance will be made soon.
So think over your latest success stories or technology ventures and submit your proposal today at https://secure.infotoday.com/forms/default.aspx?form=ise-speakers . The deadline has been extended to October 25 … and maybe a little longer!--=====================================David HoffmanInformation Today, Inc./Internet@Schools10000 NE 7th Ave., Suite 330-GVancouver, WA 98685360/882-0988Fax: 360/882-9174=====================================
