Mission Statement:

Through a devotion of time and effort, Mirth aims to provide students with a variety of unique opportunities to become leaders in their community. With each new event, our group of enthusiastic officers and volunteers work towards spreading mirth.

What Makes Mirth different?

Not only does Mirth allow its members to suggest ideas and projects, but it is an organization also willing to work with members to organize and promote individual events. Our organization promotes involvement It is a great way to become more actively involved in the community & assume leadership roles.

Mirth’s Accomplishments

So far, Mirth has participated in a variety of events. Events have included beanie sales for the Huntington's Disease Society of America, sign painting for the NJ Trust Lands Preserve, Christmas cards to impoverished children overseas (in assoc. withg with CRY), fundraising for tsunami victims, and the NJ Special Olympics. In addition, we have also been involved with Youth Taking Action, Charityfocus, Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, World Wildlife Fund, NJ Trail Cleanup, Pink Ribbon Campaign for the American Breast Cancer Society, and awareness campaigns for Earth Day.

Future Plans for Mirth

In addition to previous activities, Mirth is continually expanding. Plans include a candle walk ceremony, work with Habitat for Humanity, charity holiday gift wrapping at Barnes and Noble, fundraising through the annual Flea Market, and trips to an orphanage, children's hospital, soup kitchen, & an animal shelter. Ultimately, we’d like to organize a Mirth Charity Ball where different organizations come in and fundraise. Remember, we are always open to new suggestions.
