      GAZÝANTEP – Doðan News Agency

Two Dutch motorcyclists out to circle the world found shelter from
rain in a mosque in the southeastern province of Gaziantep, and
traded stories with their host, an imam who used to be a
      bartender.

Fred Pol, 30, and Heng Roerik, 32, reached the province Sunday and
after braving the rains and cold for some time, decided to spend the
      day in the Nurdaðý region.

Having learnt that there was no hotel in the region, they found
shelter with the imam of the local mosque, Reþit Gökkaya.

After graduating from Kahramanmaraþ Ýmam Hatip (vocational religious
high school), Gökkaya went to Antalya and worked as a waiter and
bartender for 10 years, learning English, German, Finnish and
      Japanese in the process.

He left the tourism sector nine years ago and returned to his first
      calling.

After parking their motorcycles in the Nurdaða Traffic Department
parking lot, the two motorcyclists spent the night in a room at the
      local mosque.

The travelers said they will complete their world tour in Africa,
      before flying back home.

Gökkaya said it was his duty as a human being to help those in need,
      after the bikers left yesterday
