      KABUL, October 12 (Online): Atleast 31 people have been reported to
      be killed in clashes between the Taliban Militia and the government
      troops in southern Afghanistan.

      According to Radio Tehran, Taliban Militia attacked government troops
      carrying ballot boxes in Shahkot district of Kandahar Province
      killing eleven and injuring thirteen on board.

      Taliban spokesman said that two Taliban were killed in the Zaratanga
      district of the Balkh province in attack by the government troops.

      He reiterated that the Taliban attacked the US forces in Char Chino
      district of the Uruzgan province adding that two tanks of the US
      forces were destroyed in the attack.
