              Hello All,
Perhaps WUHU think that we are mad. We have all the same problem, but
he don't see it. It's the only one ???
              Take a look here:
              http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?
              ID=ISARDEGN3

If you see on the right the PWS Sticker with correct values or if you
see 2 wrong lines ( "Umidit`:" and "Temperatura di rugiada")

If you see the correct Humidity value and pressure Value in this
Sticker , now it's a mine problem, but if you see the same i see , i
think that WUHU is reporting uncorrect values.
It is sending an HTML Tag and not the correct value about this tag.
I repeat ! This is only in the fouth / fiveth releases.
This don't happen if i use Weather Display or Virtual Weather Station
              or PC-Wetter (WSWIN).

Now the problem is written from 4 users , and i think that WUHU must
              control his code.
It's impossible that 4 WUHU users have the same problem.
Thanks ALL for your interesting reports.
              Respectly,
              Tony

I am wondering if maybe there is some confusion here regarding the
the sticker versus the rapid fire window.
I have the latest refresh and all is working just fine.
In the WUHU program on left left side towards the bottom, the
updates numbers are updating as frequently as the console updates.
The sticker in the upper right side of the Weather Underground you
will see it update somewhere around 30 seconds or so. This is NOT
                the Rapid Fire Window.
If you go down further on the right side of the Weather Underground
page you will see a selection for Full screen Rapid Fire Window
display. This will actually update faster than we can send data
                (faster than our consoles update.
If you go to your city page and you have your station as the default
you will see right under the words "Current Conditions" a spot where
it says "Updated:" this will show you that it is has updated 7
                seconds ago or so.
As for the comment regarding the Author, I have been using his
software for almost two years now and he is without a doubt
the "BEST" software developer that I have run across. Drops
everything to help us with issues and enhancements to his product,

OK, I've been lurking on this thread for a while. I think WU had a
problem, but I believe it was fixed late last week.

I was seeing that I was sending Updates from WUHU to WU every 7-8
seconds, but it was NOT POSTING on the website particularly on the
rapid fire sticker (the picture of my webcam on the right of my pws
page)....(I checked this by checking the "show updates - debugging
only for about 5 minutes and watching the WU page as it updated)

Late last week (or possibly over the weekend) that changed. I am now
seeing the updates every 8-10 seconds on WU.

I think this can sometimes this can be deceiving in the rapid fire
mode due to "latency issues with the ISP". In other words...I'll see
an "updated 3 seconds ago"...then an "updated 13 seconds ago"...then
an update "6 seconds ago." Since this is happening so fast, I'm not
sure that you will ever see an update at the exact same time (say
every 8 seconds consitantly on WU).

Don't know if this makes sense to anyone, but that's what I have
noticed over the past week or so.

My 2 cents (and by the way, I do have the latest version installed.)

That is what I am seeing in my WUHU console. In "Updates"
it is only changing every 14 seconds although my system is updating
itself every 7. Take for instance my numbers are at 5364/5428. THe
5428 only updates every 14 seconds. while the first number is also
only every 14 seconds but obviously at a different pace. It seems
like it takes forever to upload the data, which may be hindering it
getting the next data set. It appears that the data streams are
overlapping so its not recognizing it every 7 seconds. It was just
something I noticed since I recently switched from wireless to wired
to get better wind readings. It's not that big of a deal and likely
something with my cable connection or maybe even my pc protection
                    software?

I also must say that the WUHU software is great. I tried demos of
all the other software out there and found I like WUHU way more for
getting my data to the web. Like I was saying I have a feeling my
problem is more of a connection/virus protection issue than it is a
WUHU deal. Just to show what i am talking about my site is below.
The weather sticker is a rapid fire feature in the upper right
                      corner.

It looks like the 14 +/-  seconds are what it takes to Connect / Verify / Send / Process / and then Close the connection and then start all over. I dont think it would be able to get faster unless it had a continuous stream/connection, Really you have to think about how many others are also running rapid fire, thats ALOT of connections every 10 to 20 seconds

It's not that big of a deal and likely
something with my cable connection or maybe even my pc protection
                        software?

                          Dickie,

Actually the time required to perform the upload is measured between the "Sending to" and the "Weather Underground response". Looking at your log that upload is only taking a second.

To measure the time between uploads, look at the times between the "Sending to" log entries.

Here is a piece of my rapidfire log:

Can you do me a favor and collect another log? This time, enable both the "Show Console Com. Errors" and "Show Uploads" options checked?

                          Thanks.

Here you go, dont get me wrong, I wasnt complaining about the upload speed of 14 secs, being a network/pc tech i know there are over head with protocols, etc...  for instance, one local site i ftp a data file to for weather to be displayed, the ftp protocol takes 15 to 20 secs to open / authenticate / send 150 fields / close (BTW, I have 11 meg connection),  I was just trying to put it in perspective, that maybe 10 to 14 secs is the best you might do, since there is ALOT of stuff going on between you, the internet and WU.

something to think about...LOL..---->  sad thing is that sometimes dialup is faster at small files than broadband :-) .....

Anyways, too much thinking for tha day already :-)

                            Dickie  ;-)

                            Thanks.

out if it is the data collection from the console or the upload to WU
                              that is different.

If you look at your updates filed below the stats, does the Updates
(attempts/success) field match the WU section's Uploads
                              (attempts/success)?

I having problems uploading to the comcast FTP servers as they are
upgrading their servers this week. I am going to email you a test
version if you do not mind.

In the test version, if you enable "Show Console Com. Errors", a new
log entry is created that displays the time to the next poll of the
console. This might shed some light as to what the problem is.

                              Thanks.

                                Dickie,

                                I appreciate your help.

The timing appears to be different for sure. I am trying to figure
out if it is the data collection from the console or the upload to WU
                                that is different.

If you look at your updates filed below the stats, does the Updates
(attempts/success) field match the WU section's Uploads
                                (attempts/success) ?

I having problems uploading to the comcast FTP servers as they are
upgrading their servers this week. I am going to email you a test
version if you do not mind.

In the test version, if you enable "Show Console Com. Errors", a new
log entry is created that displays the time to the next poll of the
console. This might shed some light as to what the problem is.

                                Thanks.
