Re: [wuhu_software_group] WUHU service question
- Hey Dave,
I assume your using the wuhu service i wrote.
Short answer nope.
The service pushes the wuhu.exe process to the background so it runs if your logged in or not.If all went well you can check your task manager and see wuhu.exe running.Just make sure you have configured wuhu one time before you start it.Stop the service, launch wuhu manually config it, the stop wuhu. Then start the service. (Also take wuhu out of the startup group so it doesn't launch when you log in)After that it will just run in the background. If you need to reconfigure wuhu for some reason, (like upgrades) stop the service, install, or launch wuhu manually, save the settings, stop wuhu (the one on the desktop) then start the service.Check the task manager to see if it launched. No need to uninstall the service for upgrades to wuhu as long as the path to the wuhu.exe doesn't change.

I just installed the WUHU service and it is running. Do I have to start the WUHU.exe program or will the WUHU service send updates to WU without having WUHU open? Could I close WUHU and still have WU/Weatherbug/PWSWeather.com updated automatically?
