      Thanks for the advice on the FIT PC as a low power option to serve my weather station. I found another alternative, that allows my primary computer to be turned on and off. It is the ASUS EEE, which is also an Atom based PC. It is small, and has plenty of computing power to serve my weather station and an always on Skype line that I run through my home phone lines. I got it yesterday, and the difference in temperature and noise is amazing. So far so good!
