WUHU suddenly stopped uploading. This happened Monday or Tuesday last
week, I just now have had time to look at it. I believe I have
version 2.16_32_B9. I still have internet connectiviity with email
and explorer. Both WU and CWOP stopped working. Still have
      communications with console.

Running XP Pro, probably downloaded some update and shut me down.

Don't believe any changes in the computer. Connecting the 2315 to the
computer using I/O gear serial to usb converter. It still checks good
with another serial device I tested it with to rule it out. Must be
      some software change.

      Thanks

      Larry
Estacada, OR; looking at about an inch of snow this morning at 1100
ft. latest snow around here for many years. The mountain, Mt. Hood,
      gets it but not us.

Depending on the type of software, you can give permission to
        individual programs.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I knew I'd forget to specify at least one thing in my original email. Doubled checked just not and windows firewall is off and I was running Zone Alarm, but it was / is off before this happened (another program with issue with zone alarm). About ready to start over again on the hard drive but there is soooooo much on here to think about doing that if I don't have to.

Under Zone alarm, click Program Control, then the Programs tab.

Look in the list, find WUHU, and grant it permissions (right click
            each permission type).

Zone alarm frequently looses it settings.

It might also be that it was accidently denied access.

Give that a shot and let me know if you find the problem.

Most likely going to make several people cringe for different reasons
with this but I NEVER let Microsoft auto upload anything I have it
shut off. Why?? Prime example two people I know got a service pack
update to service pack three automatically last week and it crashed
both of their computers. They had to reformat and start over.

These people lived in different locations on two completely different
              systems.

My tech guy who is a certified MS TECH for everything including the
latest and greatest VISTA <JUNK> advises all is customers to turn auto
update off because of bug issues with updates from MS and other
              vendors they allow to update.
