Re[2]: [wuhu_software_group] Re: Linux?

I was actually hoping to go with my raspberry Pi and get rid of the head unit altogether, but cannot seem to find anywhere how to get that accomplished, it

Re[2]: [wuhu_software_group] Re: Linux?

One thing to keep in mind about Windows 10, if you are planning to use it for the Raspberry, is it will be a headless OS, I bought my Raspberry 2 for just that

Re: Linux?

Maybe someone can chime in here, I thought I had seen posts for WS2812 running in serial mode. Steve

Re: Linux?

I have successfully run Wview on the Raspberry Pi 2B using a La Crosse 2300 and posted via CWOP for over 20 days, non stop. 5 volts at less than 2 amps

Re: Linux?

Unfortunately, I'm running a La Crosee 2812 and can't run in serial mode, unless I'm mistaken.

Re: Linux?

Wouldn't it make sense to run it through serial port and then no other software would be required? Steve

Re: Linux?

I had not heard of WeeWX or wfrog before - yes, those look very promising indeed. I look forward to hearing more about how/if these things work. I'll be glad

Re: Linux?

I've just started looking into this as well. Just purchased a Rasberry Pi and plan on running Raspbian. I thought weewx or Wfrog could be used to replace

Re: Linux?

Only if you don't want to run it using the Serial Port option. If you want it to read the data file then yes it will need to run the other software. Don On

Re: Linux?

I realized later that I would have to run not just WUHU, but the data collection software for my station, namely "Heavy Weather Pro"; II assume other stations

Re: Linux?

It should run if you have wine installed on the Ubuntu and I am running Wuhu on Windows 8.1.

Re: Linux?

This is the most exciting thing I've heard in a while! My weather station is down - dead, really - but I have been meaning to resurrect it... but dreading

Re: Linux?

It should run fine under WINE on Raspbian. You would have to use a USB to Serial adapter if you planned to do serial but I can't think of any reason it

Re: Linux?

This has me thinking... Has anyone run wuhu on a raspberry pi? Might be a good indoor project for this heat wave we're having. Sent from my OnePlus phone On

Re: Linux?

I finally got around to trying WUHU on Kubuntu (Linux) under WINE and was able to get it to work. The hardest part was getting permission to use the serial
