I ve just come across your message. Most likely you already sorted out your problem... but in case not, here are a few thoughts. 1. WSJT needs no WSJT.INI

I've just come across your message. Most likely you already sorted out
your problem... but in case not, here are a few thoughts.

        1. WSJT needs no WSJT.INI file on startup. If no such file is present,
the program starts with default values (or blanks that you need to fill in).

        2. Under Windows 7, the default installation directory
        C:\Program Files\WSJT9
is a good location only if you know what you're doing with file access
permissions. As advised in the instructions, a much better location is
        something like
        C:\WSJT9
where (as a normal user) you have full control over reading and writing.

        3. The startup messages copied in your email show that you requested
audio input from device #48, which is an output device. You requested
audio output to device #4, which is an input device. These requests are
sure to fail, and to prevent the program from running.
