Re: [wsjtgroup] Sound device question
- WSJT runs the Tx audio stream continuously. When not transmitting, the
program just outputs zeros. Apparently this is the root of your problem.
It would not require major software surgery to modify WSJT so that the
audio stream is opened and started only when it will be used, then
terminated and closed when a transmission is finished. (On the other
hand, this task will not be completely trivial, either.)
If you (or someone else) want to do this, the relevant code is in file
"jtaudio.c", in the open source SVN repository.

I have not been able to find any options within either program that will let the sound device operate "simplex" or "half duplex" rather than being enabled "full duplex" all of the time.
> Is anyone aware of a software solution for this issue? I understand that two of the MicroHam devices also have an Auto PTT function that works the same way. They can be turned off though but the TT-712 can not other than by opening the PTT lead within the device. I have temporarily open this lead via an adapter but would like to find a way for WSJT9 and/or JT65-HF to operate with this device.
