      Rally period
1300 UTC May 5 to 1500 UTC May 7, 2007. This a weekend rally, chosen to
coincide with the eta-Aquarids meteor shower. More information on this
shower can be found here. The usual Saturday random hour periods are
      cancelled during rally weekend.

The complete rules are now posted on the NAHSMS Contest Pages.
      http://www.ykc.com/wa5ufh/Rally/NAHSMS.htm

Thanks to all those who helped finalize the rules. Those of you who have
meteor scatter WebPages please feel free to use the above link to help
      notify the meteor scatter community.

I checked the Random Hour Summary reports and found that 62 stations have
participated since the first of the year and this is probably the worst time
of the year for random meteors / contacts. The indicators all point to a
      great contest.

This contest is also being announced in the SWOT Bulletin and will be
announced in QST in the near future. Thanks to ARRL and SWOT for your
support. (If you operate two meters and not a member of SWOT; you probably
      should be... check into it)

Now is the time to mark your calendars and print a copy of the rules for
      your use.

      Thanks

Randy Tipton for the contest committee
