Re: [wsjtgroup] Radio Settings Question
- GredThe IC746PRO has a miniDIN conector on the back just for digital modes, It works great with WSJT because when you switch to SSB-D the mic is disconected, the compression is turned off , the TX equalizer is turned off. The only thing you need to set up is the BW . I like to use 2.1Khz but shifted 300 Hz up on the low end.I got my mini DIM cable from RASCAL GLX , it is a standard cable for all mini DIM modern radios conectors. They manufacture a very nice interface at great price and it works very well on WSJT.You will need to adjust line OUT for TX , just enough to drive the power you need so turned the volume down until you see a small decrease in power output.I hope this helps.RegardsCarlosN4IS----- Original Message -----From: Ira FranklinSent: Thursday, September 15, 2005 10:36 PMSubject: Re: [wsjtgroup] Radio Settings QuestionGreg I also have 746pro it needs to be in ssb. I dont use compression, I have tried it with and without, when compression is on it seems to inhibit the single tones.Ira

de N4WO. I have a 746pro. I am wondering what settings on the
radio I should set ahaed of time. When I hold down the ssb
mode button, it becomes ssb digital. Should I use ssb or ssb-D?
Should I have my compression meter on or off?
For the transmit treble and bass, should they be on or off?
I tried several times but I learned that my computer has a
speaker out option. The option is ordered and will be here next
week. When I transmitted, on my radio I seen no power out at
all before knowing about the speaker out option.
I'm not used to asking questions so any help is appreciated.
