RE: [wsjtgroup] Re: RigExpert?
Thanks for the reply Philip,
I can get into a position where rigexpert can rx and tx wsjt, but the transmitted tones sound terrible.
And when I look at what is being received on spectran, it looks quite different to how it looks if I connect the rx direct to the PC.
And what is the final problem is the odd time when the rigexpert seems to forget to key the tx line… no matter what software I’m using, or frequency.
So far, I have to say I’m unimpressed by the unit, so much so that it’s back in its box…
Glad you like the card…

Subject: [wsjtgroup] Re: RigExpert?
I am using a RigExpert 2 with WSJT for meteor scatter psk441 work. The
RigExpert is set up as a soundcard and all I have to do is change the
computer's in/out soundcard settings from the default to the 'virtual'
rigexpert card and fire up the WSJT software. I do have to be careful
though when doing this because any other computer sounds would be
transmitted such as 'incoming e-mail' etc.
I use 'Audiomixer' software to easily reset the audio settings from
MixW to and from those for WSJT.
My website has links to all the necessary software
P.S. Received your qsl card recently and great looking photo!
