      Hi, can anyone suggest a likely spot to find rosy finches on a day trip from Grand Junction?  I'm thinking Independence, McClure or Red Mountain passes...??  An out-of-state friend is in the area this weekend.  Thanks for suggestions.  LaSals in UT?

      Hi all,

      I just got back into town for a few days, and decided to check out Connected Lakes to see what was out and about. Diversity was low, but I did see some other birders and happened across a lone Chimney Swift between the main lake and the river. The bird was flying upriver the last time I saw it.
