      August through November is considered to be the fall migration period.  Birds are really on the move.  The list will give one an idea of what is out there.
      There were 7 Black Swifts flying about this morning in the same place as they were two days ago west of Nucla about 2 miles.  The biggest surprise was and adult Marsh Wren with a  fledged young in a bull rush wetlands on Calamity Draw just south of town.  I have seen wrens there in spring but now suspect they nested there this summer.
