FW: [wsbn] Need second opinions
Here’s a vote from the guy who has handled/banded a lot of raptors at Cape May...

Hi Lori -
I am liking Cooper's Hawk - the tail feathers have graduated lengths, the short (outer) ones show a wide white tip which is worn off the longer (central) ones. I am pretty sure that the banding is wrong for any of the buteos.

I haven’t noticed you posting on Texbirds lately so I am guessing you might be on the road, and therefore busy. But if you happen to have a moment at some point, could you take a look at these photos and give your opinion? A few friends in Colorado are trying to figure out this bird and would appreciate some help from an expert. Any thoughts you have on it would be appreciated.
Thanks very much!
