      Hi all

Birds of note the last few days..

Wednesday, was a good day at Snowmass ski area, Pitkin Cty.

Bright and sunny, then cloudy with a bit of snow early afternoon

Lots (c150) Rosy-Finches at Sam’s Knob feeders, mostly Browncaps, with a few Gray-crowns of both forms (but still NO Blacks)

Also at least 6 Pine Grosbeaks, as well as Mountain Chickadees and Steller’s Jays

      Thursday (with Al Levantin)

Merlin at Blue Lake, El Jebel, Eagle Cty, on power pole by hwy82, eating (her?) catch. Looked fairly dark, like a taiga-type.

5 Barrow’s Goldeneyes Carbondale, Garfield Cty, on the Roaring Fork, downstream of the roadbridge near Catherine Store

      Friday

82 Barrow’s Goldeneyes Carbondale this evening, watched on the (private) Coryell Ranch ponds at roost, at dusk, from the hwy82 frontage road.

      Good birding all
