      Bird Watching Class

(note correction to Tom's phone number)

The "Grey Birders", a birding group for people 50 and over, is reorganizing with a series of classes and field trips conducted by Tom Peace.  This fun and popular course is sponsored by the Montrose Pavilion Senior Center and Montrose Recreation District, and is offered at a nominal fee to cover handouts and transportation.

Anyone interested in participating in this "Wild Bird Science" class for hobbyists is asked to attend the first class on Friday, March 9 at 9:30 AM at the Senior Center.  There will be a series of classroom sessions on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month, switching to outdoor field trips in June.

For more information, contact Tom Peace at 240-1851 or Amy Rowan (50+ Activities Coordinator) at 252-4884.

Tom will be using the book "Birds of North America" - Golden Field Guide - copyright 2001 -  ISBN 1-58238-090-2 as the "standard" field guide for this class.  If you already own another guide, that's fine, but you may find it easier to use the same book that Tom is referencing.

====== sorry if this correction appears twice in the forum -- yesterday, I posted it as a "reply" to my original post, but that post never seemed to display ======
