      >> WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT NEWS
      http://www.wrestling-online.com/news

      > 'THE MARINE' TO FILM IN QUEENSLAND
      - The first movie by WWE Films called 'The Marine' featuring John Cena
in the leading role will start filming in Queensland, Australia.
According to ABC News from Down Under, WWE Films scout locators
confirmed Queensland as the location after visiting the site with the
Pacific Film and Television Commission and Warner Roadshow Studios
execs. Queensland's Arts Minister Anna Bligh told the State Parliament
that the company will spend around $15 million in Queensland for the
movie. An incentive is being offered to WWE Films to employ local
people. The PFTC will provide WWE with a payroll tax rebate and cast and
crew salary rebate for every Queenslander employee. John Cena will be
heading to Australia to start filming his scenes, which explains why he
dropped the title to Carlito Caribbean Cool that quick after his win at
      No Mercy.

      > LIVE WWE EVENT REPORT FROM SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND
      - W-O Newsletter readers Matthew Coultas and Andrew Millman attended the
live RAW brand event yesterday in Sheffield, England and sent in the
following results. Rhyno & Tajiri defeated Hurricane & Rosey; Victoria &
Nidia defeated Trish Stratus & Molly; Shelton Benjamin defeated Chuck
Palumbo; Val Venis defeated Maven; La Resistance defeated William Regal
& Eugene; Shawn Michaels & Chris Jericho defeated Christian & Tyson
Tomko; Edge & Chris Benoit defeated Ric Flair & Batista; Kane defeated
Gene Snitstky; Triple H defeated Randy Orton. In notes from the show
Lilian Garcia opened the show by singing the English national anthem and
was followed by Stacy Keibler who announced most of the matches for the
card. During the La Resistance/Regal & Eugene match, Coach appointed
himself as the special referee. After the main event, a fan jumped in
the ring and climbed the turnbuckles mimicking Randy Orton but he was
quickly escorted out by security. The arena was pretty packed to its
      rafters.

      > SMACKDOWN! RATING
      - Smackdown! did a 3.4 rating for Thursday's show with a 5.0 share. That
is one of the best ratings for Smackdown! in the past few weeks.
(Ratings compiled by Nielsen Media Research and put online by
      PWInsider.com)

      > SKY EDITS FLAIR 'VIRGIN' COMMENT
      - Sky in the UK edited off Ric Flair's remark of making 'virgins bleed'
during the Thursday showing of Monday Night RAW on Sky Sports 1. Flair
made the controversial comment during the opening segment while ripping
on Randy Orton. Vince McMahon was so fired up at Flair about the comment
that he waited for the Nature Boy backstage before confronting him in a
not so friendly fashion. McMahon was unaware that Flair was going to use
that line and thought it was not suitable for television.

      > STOCKS
      - Stocks closed the day at 12.08, a 1.06% decrease over yesterday's
      closing. The day's range was 12.08 - 12.25.
