      >> WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT NEWS
      http://www.wrestling-online.com/news

      > STORM ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT
      - The man from Calgary is putting his in-ring wrestling career on the
shelves, as a new opportunity comes up for the former Intercontinental
champion. Lance Storm announced his retirement on his official website
at StormWrestling.com, saying that his match on Heat yesterday was
probably his last one. Storm says that back problems didn't help much
either and with four bulging discs in his lower lumbar and a chronic
problem with a sciatic nerve, the decision wasn't that hard to take.
Storm will assume the new position of a trainer at Ohio Valley Wrestling
from now onwards after his request to be an agent wasn't completely
      welcomed!

      > JOHN CENA OFF TO ITALY

Pain' two day tour. The events will be on the 3rd and 4th of June in
Milan and Pesaro, and will be the first WWE visit to the country in
      almost a decade.

      > STOCKS
      - Stocks closed the day at 14.87, a 1.00% decrease over the previous
      closing. The day's range was 14.70 - 15.04.

      - WWE today hired Peter Clifford as the new Vice President, Affiliate
Sales for WWE 24/7, the new subscription video-on-demand service that
will offer WWE, WCW, ECW and other wrestling footage. Clifford's initial
focus will be to enlist cable operators and satellite services to
distribute WWE 24/7. Before joining WWE, Clifford was in affiliate sales
over at The Golf Channel serving as Managing Director of affiliate ad
sales and new products. Prior to The Golf Channel, Clifford worked as a
Senior Regional Manager for the Weather Channel, and started his
affiliate sales career at E! Entertainment Television. More information

      > LIVE EVENT REPORT FROM TULSA, OK.
      - W-O Newsletter readers 'jrg_bubba' and David Owens attended the live
Smackdown! brand event in Tulsa, OK., on Saturday and sent in these
results. Rico & Charlie Hass defeated Scotty 2 Hottie & Rikishi and The
Basham Brothers; Mordecai defeated Paul London; Hardcore Holly defeated
Matt Capotelli; Chavo Guerrero defeated Spike Dudley, Jamie Noble and
Billy Kidman; Undertaker defeated Booker T; Billy Gunn defeated Mark
      Jindrak; John Cena & Torrie Wilson defeated Rene Dupree & Dawn Marie;
Eddie Guerrero defeated John "Bradshaw" Layfield. In other notes, John
Cena, Torrie Wilson, and Eddie Guerrero got the loudest pops of the
night. Security pulled back fans who were trying to get autographs from
Superstars on their way in. When the Dudley Boyz arrived everyone
blocked the way and D-Von, who was driving, started honking the horn and
trying to get everyone cleared as Bubba didn't seem to happy about the
scene. Booker T arrived and didn't want to sign autographs as he said he
was late but then he said he would sign one for a little girl.
