      By Colin Vassallo, [Editor@...]

As all of you might know there's a new virus out which is causing some
serious havoc. Kindly go to http://housecall.antivirus.com and perform a
free, updated scan to repair anything you have on your PCs. I'm getting
over 500 viruses via e-mail everyday and that gets kinda annoying! :)

      Later.

      > JAPAN SHOW BREAKS ALL NON-TV REVENUE RECORDS
      - It seems like Japan loves WWE as the February 7th live event at the
Saitama Super Arena has already grossed over $1.7 million in gate money,
making it the largest grossing non-televised event in the company's
history according to a press released issued today by WWE. Outside of
WrestleMania's, it is the third highest grossing event in WWE history,
behind only SummerSlam ’92 at Wembley Stadium in England and the Global
Warning live event from Australia in August 2002. The Arena has the
facility to move thanks to a movable architectural block system and can
hold up to 37,000 in a stadium setting. Tickets are still available for
      this event.

      > BENOIT HEADED TO JAPAN FOR WWE TOUR
      - Recently added to the RAW roster, Chris Benoit will be traveling to
Japan with the RAW crew for the 'Road To WrestleMania' tour, with three
      live events scheduled. Benoit will face Batista on the 5th of February;
Triple H on 6th of February and Chris Jericho on the 7th of February at
the Saitama Super Arena, the final leg of the tour.

      > SMACKDOWN! PREVIEW

      >> RAW TAWK
      By Ginger, [GLRSS@...]

Hey! I'll bet you guys thought I took another week off again, huh?
Well, due to the mischievous e-mail gremlins inhabiting my
computer - or Colin's! - last week's RAW Tawk never showed up in my
      editor's inbox. I know it's a bit late but, since I *did* write a
column last week, I'd like to think maybe one or two of you would like
to read it! So, Colin gave me the okay to post it at my personal
website and send through a link for those of you who care. Without
      further ado, here's that link:
      http://www.geocities.com/gingerscolumn/RAWTawk/2004/011904.html

Now, we're done with the *old* news. . .let's get on with the NEW news!

It was awesome to hear Jericho piped to the ring with his own song from
"WWE Originals." But, to answer your question, Chris, no - I
DON'T wish I was you. If you want to know what I *DO* wish, please
      e-mail me at GLRSS@.... . .

Geez! Didn't Bischoff used to *like* Y2J? What's his deal? Does he
have something against the good guys?

(Yes. I was intentionally stupid. You don't need to explain heels and
babyfaces to me. I get it.)

What is Christian's problem? Why is he SO determined to keep Chris and
Trish apart? Now, I'm no psychiatrist. . .and I don't even play
one on the Internet. That said, I think it's jealousy. Whether he's
jealous because he wants Trish to want *him*, or because Trish
went for Jericho but Lita didn't go for *him*. . .or maybe - just MAYBE
      - Christian likes Jericho, you know. . .like THAT. . .I don't
know. Whatever the reason, as much as it pains me to say this,
Christian really *is* turning into a bit of a CLB. Well, except he's
actually kind of tall, so maybe it would be more accurate to call him a
      CBB.

      Anyway. . .

Jim Ross calling Kane "hideous" is like the pot calling the kettle ugly!

Chris Benoit showed up on RAW wearing red tights and indicated that he
wants to wrestle Triple H for the RAW championship. Then,
as Undertaker's return as "The Dead Man" was teased, Kane was pacing the
ring. . .bathed in a "SmackDown Blue" light.
Hmmmmmmmm. Here's an idea, Eric Bischoff. Don't "lawyer up" as Paul
Heyman suggested. Instead, offer to trade Kane for Benoit.
Would Auntie Ginger steer ya wrong?

What was that whole Miss Jackie/Stacy think all about? Please don't
tell me Stacy's really gonna pose for Playboy? As much as I gripe
about her in my columns, I honestly thought Stacy was a bit classier
      than that.

Oh, look! It's Grizzly Goldberg! (Get on it, sign makers! Quick,
      before he shaves!)

To wrap up for this week, I just have to say how spellbound I was by
Mick Foley's performance at the end of the show. I'm unfortunate
in that I didn't begin watching WWF/E programming until after Mick had
retired from wrestling. As a matter of fact, I started
watching during his tenure as commissioner. Anyway, I'm a fan of Foley
for many reasons. . .I love his wit, his heart, his talent as a
writer. And I hate to see wrestlers bleed and do stupid things like -
say, rolling around on a mat covered with thumb tacks. That said,
I don't think I blinked during the last five or ten minutes of RAW last
night. I also believe my mouth was open the whole time and I'm
a bit embarrassed to admit it, but I think I drooled a little. . . Not
because I think Mick Foley is hot (which I actually *do*, but that's a
whole 'nother story), but because I was wrapped up in what was going on
in that very ring. The last thing I'd want to happen is for
Mick to resume his wrestling career, only to end up permanently damaging
his brain or his body and robbing his wife and children of
their wonderful Teddy Bear of a man. On the other hand, YAY US, the
wrestling fans, if he chooses to stick around just a *little* bit
      longer!

Okay, I'm really done now. . .until *next* week, anyway! Until then, be
sure to visit TheRingPost.com and check out the latest edition
of "Ginger's (Sort of) Weekly Column" right here:
